What is Angel Care?

In Japan there is a traditional ritual called ‘yukan’ in which the family gather and wash and cleanse the body of the deceased. At Care Service, we offer Angel Care in that we combine the ‘yukan’ ritual and our unique service for the family to have the last and memorable farewell.

The last water

The lips of the deceased are dabbed with either water or his/her favorite drink.

Washing hair and body

After the hair is washed with shampoo and conditioner, the body also will be washed by body shampoo and wiped dry.

Dressing

The deceased will be dressed in his/her favorite clothes or more traditional white kimono.

Makeup

Light makeup will be applied and their hair tidied for both male and female.

All our staff has undergone rigorous training regarding body preservation, standard precautions for infections, communication skills, grief care, laws and regulations on handling of a body, funeral ceremonies, makeup and dressing and special cosmetology such as airbrush application.

Helping hands for grieving family

From attending the deathbed, the ‘yukan’ ritual, to cleaning and tidying up the house and disposal of personal effects, there are many things the bereaved family has to do. At Care Service, our experienced staff offers helping hands for the family with utmost care and consideration.

Arranging a funeral director

A funeral is a very important ceremony for the family since it will be the last memory of the loved one. As for the arrangements, including preliminary consultation, we will direct you to the most trusted funeral directors and mutual associations.
